6 APSPECTS OF CHANGE

It is easy to become complacent with the familiar which contributes to resisting the onslaught of change Failing to accept and adapt to change leaves resistant adapters being pulled along against their will into acceptance. People either become early interlopers to change leading to the refinement of change or late outliers to change taking a wait and see attitude to change. Below are 6 aspects of dealing with change.

Change is Inevitable

Change and challenges may correct what has become irrelevant and obsolete. Early adopters to change learn to adapt to change in order to not be left behind by change. Many suffer the consequences of change when they are not adequately prepared to accept it when it is inevitable.

Change and Time

Change and time wait for no one. Each of us has a set amount of time to live. Each generation plays a role in managing all aspects of change such as education, technology, products and social welfare for the benefit and future of succeeding generations. Wise investment in change benefits the common good.

Change and Responsibility

Each of us is responsible for managing changes that find their way into our lives when change is not pleasant or difficult. We do not always have control over what happens to us in life, but we must still proceed with hope and determination in managing what is beyond our control.

Change and Progress

A positive outlook toward change can promote individual personal growth and development in meaningful ways. We each develop into who we are, and who we will become, due to daily experiences that shape us as individuals.

Change and Advantage

Drastic change can be frustrating and difficult to endure. With an open mind, accepting heart, and positive attitude change can lead to unforeseen opportunities, rewards, success and unexpected happiness.

Change and the Future

Challenges, defeats and rewards of change shape the stepping-stones for overcoming challenges of the unforeseeable future. Each day brings with it its share of clouds, rain and sunshine, but combined in effort shape the beauty and rainbows we come to know in life.

Even when difficult, attempt to embrace change in a positive way. Change is the unsought motivator, or crippler, of personal progress and development. Nature is known to abhor a vacuum and likewise change demands new beginnings. Whenever possible, capitalize on the positive aspects of change for personal growth and rewarding accomplishment.

When Men Cry

Crying is not always accompanied by tears. It may involve reaching out to address an inward emotion. Crying can be exhibited with an outward yell or with an outward behavior that begs attention.A person tends to cry out in some manner when dissatisfied, angry, ill or depressed.

When men cry, they tend to hold in and avoid outward displays of tears. Men have generally been conditioned to exhibit "backbone," to "suck up" emotional and physical pain. They are forged into the strong and silent type when it comes to their emotions and are subjected to societal demands to demonstrate outward bravado and rugged toughness.Battle weary men are conditioned to ignore internal conflict to accomplish the mission. Everyone during some point in their life cries out for some form of attention. Untreated, internalized crying due to deep-seated hurt or anger is detrimental to the psyche.

No one is immune to mental illness when left to cry for extended periods in isolation. Long-term internalization of personal pain, trauma, and internal conflict have medically been linked to debilitating illnesses. Notable effects of internalized suffering are high blood pressure, over eating, diabetes, depression, fatigue, alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, impotency, various psychological symptoms and suicide. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a suicide occurs every 15 minutes in the United States. Men account for more suicides than women, and firearms appear to be the method of choice for men.

Crying accompanied by tears can have the ability to release the psyche of harmful distress. Men have been brought to tears to allow themselves the freedom to vent their souls toward personal wholeness. Tears have the ability to release hormones and chemicals built up in the body during times of elevated stress. Emotional tears have been medically shown to contain leucine-enkephalin that reduce pain and improve mood. When emotionally upset, talk with a trusted friend, family member, significant other, therapist, coach, clergyman or licensed clinician.

In the case of overwhelming mental anguish, professional medical assistance should be sought as soon as possible. If you or someone you know is faced with suicidal thoughts, immediately act to contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or call 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
